At the top of South America sits Colombia, the Spanish discovered it in 1499 and claimed it along with Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador and parts of Brazil, Peru & Guyana as a new territory. During the 80's it became infamous for reasons it is still trying to move away from today.

My first visit to Colombia included 5 weeks working my way from Cali in the south to the Caribbean Coast in the North. What amazed me so much was how welcoming the people were and how there were so many stunning landscapes and views to be taken in all over the country. 
 

The landscape changes dramatically in different parts of the country, from the Amazon to the Caribbean Coast, the Pacific to the Andean mountains. These photographs attempt to capture the diverse scenery throughout the country.
