JOSHUA TREE

When you hear Joshua Tree what does it make you think of? The striking image of the tree whose official name is a Yucca brevifolia comes to my mind along with a dry and empty landscape, silent and serene. 

The area in and around Joshua Tree National Park is extremely harsh and arid, with the temperatures soaring in the day and dropping to below zero at night. As you wind your way through the park there are multiple stop off areas to go rock climbing, hiking and camping. 

Our airstream was a few miles from Yucca Valley, super secluded off a dirt track somewhere on the periphery of the park. 

Anywhere you can find that has minimal light pollution crossed with a clear sky, gives you the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful views out there - the night sky. Looking up at all these tiny white stars gives you a real sense of how small the world is...
